SAMBA PA TI – Santana
Helpful Comments about Samba Pa Ti:
In measures where there are whole notes in the bass clef I add rhythmic motion on the basis of feel. Also on page 2 “RH chordal accompaniment” means that the right hand contains not only the written notes but also at the beginning of each chord the full chord is completed below the melody line with the right hand. Finally the improvised section is not transcribed all the way to the fade out. I just simply end the song at the end of the second page and improvise my own lines until I end it by going back to measure one and two on the first page.
FEELS SO GOOD – Chuck Mangione
BABY BLUE – Badfinger
Helpful Comments about Baby Blue:
A lower case letter to the right of a chord in parentheses means that the note with that letter is the highest note in the right hand chord. Each of the FIG. numbers cue you to find and play that particular Figure on the page with the notes and staff. The down arrow helps yo find which octave a Figure is starting on (in case you cannot immediately find the Figure on the other page). Finally, a lower case letters in italics under a slash refers to a bass note with a chord. For example, C#m /b means to start on with the C# minor chord in the right hand and a C# as the bass note. Once the /b appears the C#m chord continues to play in the right hand.
